Marvel is hitting the milestone in celebrating 80 years with a special mall event in partnership with SM Supermalls, Marvel Asia, and other event partners involve in making this week Marvelous!
The Marvel at 80 celebration was held at the SM North EDSA’s The Block, where a big Marvel exhibit featuring anything from comicbook cover tributes from the past, action figures, toys, and other merchandise.
This is also the time Marvel launched a new game app the “Marvel Future Fight” with Danny Koo, Marvel Games Senior Producer for Asia graced the event in the opening launch yesterday with Lenil Yu co-creator of the first Filipina Super hero for Marvel.
Besides the official opening highlights of the event some of the community members of Pinoy LUG were present for the celebration representing the community and also promoting the exhibit featuring almost all of the Marvel Super Heroes sets released in the past years.
Stan Lee Tribute
Some of the displayed creations are MOCs (My Own Creations) by fellow members like the Stan Lee tribute section complete with the Mosaic of the Generalissimo and also a custom car that he has driven as a hippy from the 1970s scene in Avengers Endgame. There is also dedicated section of the display for Iron Man, Captain America, and the rest of the Avengers.
At the heart of the exhibit taking centerstage is the SHIELD Hellicarrier diorama battle scene featuring a mash up of LEGO sets from Captain America Civil War, Avengers Infinity War, and Endgame.
Marvelous Assemble
The exhibit also acknowledge some sets from the Spider-verse and X-Men Universe with a dedicated displaye section that you can find at the Marvel + PinoyLUG Exhibit display which will be there from 27 August to 1 September 2019.
