PinoyLUG's Project AMORsolo - Bayanihan

Each member of the PinoyLUG team that worked on this project practiced the “Bayanihan Spirit” in building the mosaic together without expectations - only the realization that they have actually re-created a great masterpiece from the “Grand Old Man of Philippine Art” who brilliantly portrayed the bayanihan custom of coming together in times of need, creating a sense of nationhood that is vital in the Pilipino’s continuing formation of his own national identity.

For his/her skill and ability to capture the Filipino’s tradition of “Bayanihan” from the immortal canvas of Fernando Amorsolo, into an amazing artistic creation that displays the same community spirit, in LEGO® bricks. A moving testament to a classic work of art that transcends time and different cultural generations to send the same message of unity and cooperation for the achievement of common goals - PinoyLUG’s LEGO® art mosaic of “Bayanihan” is executed with great inspiration to honor Amorsolo on the 50th anniversary of his proclamation as the first National Artist of the Philippines.

Presented in joint ceremonies with the Cultural Center of the Philippines, on the 28th day of April, in the year 2022, at the Bulwagang Carlos V. Francisco (Little Theater Lobby) - CCP Complex, in Pasay City, Philippines.
