Art forms are distinct to each and every artist - when seamlessly blended together it fuses brilliance to create timeless pieces that are praiseworthy to the eyes of many. From brick inspired features, modern play of street style, and classic Filipino cultural touches, PinoyLUG's exclusive BrickTEQ brings a modern take on Filipino representation in the toy community particularly to the International market.
Not only did it warmed up the hearts of many toy collectors, PinoyLUG managed to give back to the community by giving an adequate donation to a local church in Quezon City to help victims devastated by the Super Typhoon Rolly making BrickTEQ an exclusive toy with a purpose.
Meet the Artists:
An international toy designer most popular for his toy, the TEQ63 and the world of The Bulletpunk Network. Quiccs is famous for his recognizable style from Japanese Robot Culture; and graffiti and hip-hop genre, both of which are drawn from his deepest passions growing up.
Today, Quiccs continues to pave the way for various toy conventions and art exhibits whether locally in Manila, or abroad.
Being a successful brand, Quiccs has won numerous awards such as the
back-to-back Artist of the Year and Toy of the Year (2018 and 2019)
given by Clutter Magazine in New York City. Not only that, he has also succeeded in partnering with big brands such as Hello Kitty, Hasbro,
Mighty Jaxx, and Swarovski to name a few.
In 2019 up to the present, Quiccs has officially become a global ambassador of Adidas, where he creates toys and merchandise for the brand which definitely stirred a lot of excitement from his followers and fans.
For January 2021, with PinoyLUG on its continuous collaboration with Quiccs, released this Exclusive BrickTEQ as part of the group's Artist Series Mini-fig Collection.
For more than sixteen years as an advertising creative in Manila,
Philippines, Ian made his way to Denmark as a Senior Concept
Artist for LEGO. Despite being far from home, Ian displays
his art by becoming an author and illustrator of the book
Salamangka (2019) and Salamangka 2 (2020) showcases true Filipino culture through various Filipino folklore stories and graphics.
Aside from Salamangka, he also has his best-selling graphic novels, Skyworld (Volume 1 and Volume 2), co-creator and artist of the comic book Sixty/Mr. Tino and other titles such as Kadasig and Seven Gifts of the Skygods.
Packed in a clamshell-type of packaging, the Exclusive BrickTEQ includes (1) MiniFig, (1) Black Hood Headgear, (1) Black Cap, (2) Sticks (Arnis) Red and Blue, (1) Spray Can with (3) Optional Stickers, and an exclusive printed Brick.
