LEGO® Community | BxB Gathering Returns

Community gatherings in the Philippines is quite different from the usual monthly meetings. In the case of the BxB event that happened Saturday morning it was indeed different when you talk about a close knit group of people that also make up for the member of PinoyLUG.

For the month of September BxB returns with a smaller venue and more about having a family oriented gathering. This time it was held at one of Jollibee’s function rooms in Annapolis in San Juan. As early as past 6 AM in the morning community members of BxB Trading Group and PinoyLUG populate the function room diorama display and LEGO sets and other things related to the Denmark brand.

It’s getting used to the change that keeps a community consistent at the same time relevant to its original goals. If the previous BxB events have been larger than life for this one focuses on family oriented gatherings at the same time keeping a tight knit community close to how these meetings happen.













Return to the Stacks

Every BxB event has its own theme and more like a “Show and Tell” set up of mini-exhibit by some passionate members of the community. The theme is focused on The Stacks based from “Ready Player One: that was a popular novel by Ernest Cline that became a motion picture that was shown sometime early of 2018.

Its basically a 16x 16 habitat featuring minifigures and depicted lives this time in the theme from “Ready Player One” that certainly takes its inspiration and creativity to a new level seeing it in LEGO was something visitors would keep snapping with their mobile phones or digital camera that was quite a sight.















Speed Builds and Other Party Activities

Since the venue is now inside Jolibee Annapolis’ Function Room the theme takes it to smaller intimate environment that focus on parents and their children. The usual auction and raffle is still there having given away special prizes to event guests was a treat. Besides that the entrance fee now comes with a Jollibee meal as the venue itself is more of a cheerful atmosphere to visitors.

Its now feels like ‘closer to home’ on how the return of BxB is scaled down and sometimes not all gatherings need to be big. But all you need is to keep community meetings consistent and also change is constant to keep things interesting each month.
