M.A.T.C.H. 2016: PinoyLUG LEGO® Exhibit!

Event participation like exhibits has become part of the PinoyLUG’s (LEGO® Users Group) DNA, since its first participation at the 2014 Collecticon. This is the chance for the members not only to share their prized collection, but to tell their own story regarding their specific interest. Each featured LEGO® display is not just there for everyone to appreciate, but also to be inspired for others to pick up the interest of their chosen theme or licensed product. It also shares the story of each owner how they acquire the said LEGO® set.

From the same organizer who brought you Collecticon, TAGCOM, and recently concluded Manila Hobbies is full steam ahead with M.A.T.C.H. (Manila Action Figures Toys Collectibles & Hobbies Fest) another hobby fair for the enthusiast to start the summer season in the Philippines.

This event is in partnership with Robinsons Malls and it will be at the Midtown Wing of Robinsons Manila in Ermita. For PinoyLUG this is another opportunity for the members to share their creation or existing LEGO® sets and if you haven’t been to M.A.T.C.H. earlier today you can still catch the event on its last day tomorrow (Sunday), but if time permits you to making the visit check out the displays below:













There have been some impressive MOCs (My Own Creations) and latest sets from LEGO®, but certainly your attention will be on the flickering lights of the Ghostbusters ECTO-1 from the collection of Cris Dumlao. For some who can’t explain the complexities of the supernatural world this spruced up vehicle of the famous Ghostbusters will definitely leave you wondering if it’s haunted by ghosts.

Besides the ECTO-1 there you’ll see the MOC versions of Iron Man’s Hulkbuster armor from small to the biggest, but you find the official set in this image? Best bet you won’t if you’re a keen eye Marvel fan you knew that already.















But there’s nothing like a family of LEGO® family that builds together during the holidays with the winning MOC from Jeff Elona featuring custom minifigures of himself, his wife and son together with Santa Claus and an exclusive DVD that included a comic book version of the Trickster making the appearance and you thought its Mark Hamill’s version from The Flash TV series!

There’s more of that on exhibit at the M.A.T.C.H. event and if you still going miss this one expect more PinoyLUG partricipation happening this month since “Batman V Superman” Dawn of Justice” is just a few weeks away watch out for that announcement soon.
