Road to Bricktober | A Fun Party at BxB!

Earlier this Saturday morning PinoyLUG and BxB held another gathering in the Jollibee store at the Annapolis branch. There’s a certain vibe in this second iteration of BxB after being on hiatus for a couple of months. The tourist slogan of the country is “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” and that is Bxb leads to Bricktober!

For those haven’t keeping up with the recent events at PinoyLUG, the gathering continues itself to be aligned what other local communities in Metro Manila that are not consistent about and that is focused on the family oriented roots which made this group a Registered LEGO Users Group.

Most communities talk about the interested based on what made the group, but as PinoyLUG and BxB have it is about also experimenting, which is also having fun. Mainly the reason why the venue is held inside a Jollibee restaurant at one of the community rooms that has been hosted with a lot of parties because they are trying out new things most communities don’t do that is “having fun.”

Life’s a party has been part of the BxB experience not just having your displays on exhibit to share with other members and walk-in AFOLs. It’s about the fun part how families and friends gather that is having party games and activities. Of course, the challenges are competitive at the same time something people in the room to get excited which is also getting to know each members of the community.

Most RLUG communities in other countries follow the same protocol, and the usual activity is geared towards young children. This recently concluded BxB had less kids compared to the previous one last month and the AFOLs gets a kick out of ridiculing themselves at the same time entertaining some members that rarely seen in most group meetings. You make fun of them because it’s about part of being a community like PinoyLUG and also continue the family oriented environment.

Though this month you don’t see much sellers participating, because the BxB gatherings are not primarily about selling, it’s about the group itself. It’s like a built-up LEGO model with its elements and parts. The selling part is one component what makes BxB gatherings. The primary objective will always be about the group itself its core principles that make this a community event.

The community is compose of like-minded people who have interest in building and collecting LEGO that makes this a group that is not far straying off from its true objectives and for the reason why PinoyLUG is one of the two communities that has been recognized by the LEGO Group representing the country.
