LEGO® Certified Store | Lendy Tayag & Voltron



The weekend was busy in the Philippines random events happening while a typhoon was about make landfall on everyone’s parade. But for Lendy Tayag that didn’t stop him from signing all the LEGO Ideas Voltron sets to collectors and meeting fans at the LEGO Certified store at the Ayala Mall 30th last Sunday afternoon where everyone made effort to attend this historical occasion.

LEGO communities in the Philippines are rejoicing that Lendy Tayag, the man who designed and conceptualized the classic 1980s robot Voltron that he submitted for the Ideas program has finally landed in the country and so is he who is originally based in Malaysia is here to introduce his famous creation and was met with a celebration.

Lendy Tayag is passionate fan who grew up with super robots and classic 1980s popular culture. His interest in these giant robots has never stopped him from dreaming. Most who grew up from hardship would have their own story that would inspire them to keep dreaming, and Lendy is one of those who continue to keep on moving when he got into LEGO and start building his favorite super robots.







Voltron was one of his project builds that would be fully realized as a LEGO Ideas set with a huge following being a popular 1980s cartoon anyone who grew up in that era recognize how iconic this character from their childhood. It was unprecedented that this will eventually become something from an impossible to possible that LEGO made the effort to collaborate with Lendy in making this happen.

Braving the coming typhoon the collective of LEGO fans gathered at the make shift stage at the Ayala Mall 30th to meet Lendy and the LEGO Ideas Voltron set. Filipinos are a creative and talented lot when it comes to these things and Lendy is one of the many who have made the country proud with his creativity in bringing Voltron and he won’t end there. Of course, PinoyLUG was present to meet Lendy and have the opportunity to chat with the man who designed the LEGO Ideas Voltron set. It was certainly a funfilled event that didn’t dampen by the typhoon’s parade. It was another weekend that certainly not only made fans in aw but also inspired the young ones too with acknowledgements to LEGO Certified Store in Ayala Mall 30th and LAJ Marketing for making this happen. The LEGO Ideas Voltron set is now available at all LEGO Certified Store!
